Students will be introduced to the Black Panther Party and dive straight into the 10 Point Program. They will observe each point and understand the influence of the point program on other groups. By the end, students will have their own set of demands for either their school or generation. This is part of the curriculum set, “The Black Panther Party (Grades 4-5).”
About Community Partner: Black Panther Party Alumni Legacy Network (BPPALN) is composed of original Black Panther Party members and other socially conscious, caring individuals, educational institutions, and community-oriented businesses with a passion for all-inclusive communities to live long prosper and grow educationally, socially, and economically from generation to generation. Together they embrace the legacy of the 65 documented social service programs created and implemented by original Black Panther Party members that grew out of the 10-point platform and program of the Party.
