Curriculum for Today, Change for Tomorrow

Meet REALSOUL

At the Crossroads of Social Justice, Art, and Community

REALSOUL fosters cross-cultural solidarity and ignite collective action through programming, curriculum, and workshops. We actively partner with local artists, educators, and activists from diverse communities to co-create materials and programs, ensuring lived experiences are at the heart of our work. By centering intersectional stories for young learners, we recognize the power of storytelling, art, and holistic education to foster critical thinking, empathy, and intentional change.

Our Services

  • A display of children's books on a table, with a jar of sunflower and orange flowers, and a bottle of hand sanitizer in front of the books, in a classroom or library setting.

    Educator Guides

Our K-8 curriculum and lesson plans bring intersectional histories of marginalized communities into elementary and middle school classrooms. Through arts integration and culturally responsive teaching practices, students connect history to their own lived experiences, build critical thinking skills, and imagine more just and equitable futures.

  • The Artisan's Table

The Artisan’s Table is a hands-on arts education and community learning program that brings creative practice into the classroom. Through food, fiber, and storytelling, educators engage in collaborative, project-based learning experiences that support arts integration, cultural connection, and interdisciplinary curriculum design.

  • In the Community

We collaborate with community organizations and cultural festivals to expand learning beyond the classroom. Our youth and community programs connect Ethnic Studies education with real-world action, encouraging students and families to engage in social justice, cultural preservation, and community-based learning.

Our Philosophy

REALSOUL’s philosophy is rooted in the legacy of the Third World Liberation Front and the Ethnic Studies movement. We believe K–8 curriculum should be accessible, interdisciplinary, and grounded in the lived experiences of marginalized communities. Through storytelling, arts-based learning, and culturally sustaining pedagogy, we support reflection, critical consciousness, and collective action.
